EMIRATES STAIRWAY COLLAPSE AND GRIEVIOUS HURT OF PASSSENGERS

RAWALPINDI: Five people were injured when the stairway of a passenger plane at Benazir Bhutto International Airport collapsed on Tuesday.
According to airport officials the plane, belonging to Emirates airline, was departing for Dubai when the incident took place.
Rescue officials said four of the people injured in the collapse were passengers including a female American citizen. A loader also sustained injuries. All the injured passengers were taken to Benazir Bhutto Hospital for medical assistance.
Injured passengers include Muhammad Latif, Kulsoom Beghum, Bilqees Akhtar, Rafia Bibi and loader Qamar.
According to details by rescue officials, the passengers fell on the runway after the stairway collapsed. The American citizen, identified as 59-year-old Rafia Bibi, suffered head injuries.
The stairway collapse caused damage to plane’s left wing as it came down and the plane has been moved to the base according to airport sources.
Shamelessly these Pakis would not even complain against Emirates and not even she the airline or the Paki media would make noise as it makes against PIA shamelessly and neither the Punjabis duffers staff running cival aviation coming from defence forces who are boot lickers of gulf countries will fine Emirates Airline for this severe injuries that could be fatal .
This stairway belonged to Danata devices of Uae , and the Emirates airlines should have been sued for this grievous hurt and also an  enquiry was needed  and mandatory , for the incident it seems the punjabi duffer officers of cival aviation is not concerned about citizens of Pakistan and thier welfare ..

PIA PK 661 CRASH VICTIMS DELAYED PAYMENTS OF INSURANCE

Corrupt Government of Muslim League run by PM from  Shareef Mafia and Current PM Khaqan Abbasi the CEO of Airblue Airline and who has not paid the compensation of Air Blue crash even today , is not paying Money to Victim's of Air Crash of PIA PK -661 from Chitral to Rawalpindi , Crashing at Haripur Pakhtunkhwa

by Usman Waheed

We all remember Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-661 which crashed on December 7, 2016. It crashed on its way from Chitral to Islamabad. Junaid Jamshed, singer-turned-preacher, was onboard the flight, but so were 46 other people.

Shah Fahad lost his youngest sister Ayesha in the crash. She was only 24-years-old, with her entire life ahead of her. Ayesha was on her way to Islamabad to receive her M.Phil degree from the Quaid-i-Azam University. After receiving her degree, she was to leave for Canada and unite with her husband.

My legs trembled as I spoke with Fahad, who stayed composed throughout our conversation.

Since her death, her brother has moved from one corridor of power to another in order to get justice. The first challenge faced by Fahad was when he tried to repatriate his sister’s body and take it back to his hometown of Chitral. Unfortunately, he did not receive a straight answer from the officials he met.

There were delays, misinformation and unanswered calls. At one point Fahad had to bring a sample of his mother’s blood from Chitral for a DNA test. He also shared how he and his brother-in-law had made the long journey through snow-covered roads towards Islamabad, carrying the blood sample.

Despite challenges faced, Fahad persisted.

Searching from hospital to hospital, he finally found his sister's body. She was returned to him in a sealed coffin.

Tragically, the bodies had to be stored in containers used to preserve fruits under normal circumstances. This caused the bodies of the martyrs to further deteriorate on their way to burial grounds.

The wait is still not over for Ayesha’s family and that of the other 46 victims of the crash. They are still waiting for the inquiry report to be completed and released.

Fahad told me another disturbing story, about how one of the other victims’ family found out later that the coffin they were given was not of their loved one. The refusal on part of the authorities and the hospitals to release the DNA results further feeds into this fear.

As for the compensation, which was promised by the then-prime minister, over nearly a year ago, has yet to be given to the families.

On the first anniversary of the crash, the families gathered outside the PIA office in Islamabad in order to raise awareness and to demand answers to their questions.

Waheed is an advocate of the High Court, director of the Blackstone Law Office and a teacher at the Blackstone School of Law.

PIA LOSSES DUE TO PAKISTAN ARMY AND ITS SANCTIONED POLTICAL PARTIES

By Ahmed Yusuf

Commitment to Privatize with IMF and World Bank by PMLn to Spend money on Lahore only :

The last time we discovered that the national flag carrier, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), was a burden to the economy, early 2016, two men and PIA staff  died in the protests surrounding the proposed panacea of privatisation. The process got stalled, at least for six months. Six months turned into a year, a year is running towards the second, but as of now, PIA is officially a burden once again.
At its November 2, 2017 meeting, the Privatisation Commission decided to “reinitiate” the process of privatising the PIA — a commitment made by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) when it secured a 6.2 billion dollar bailout.

A mammoth organisation buried under 300 billion rupees of debt, PIA had been spared privatisation in 2016 after it was converted into a public limited company (PIACL) by a joint session of parliament. This was despite the fact that the airlines has one of the highest employees per plane ratio — there are currently 29 aircrafts operating for PIA including three on wet lease. Over 13,700 permanent employees and 3,700 daily wagers employed through third-party vendors are engaged in various services relating to daily operations.

The law converting PIA into a public limited company was called the PIAC Conversion Act, 2016, and included a bar on the federal government trying to transfer ownership of the entity. What could be sold was the management of the airline; ownership would always stay with the government as they would retain a majority share with 51 percent.

A mistake of Privatisation of PIA

The Privatisation Commission is now seeking a reversal of this rule because it would pave the way for the government to sell ownership, and not just management, of the airline.

Without a doubt, PIA is jetting towards doom. Which begs the question: has there been such little turnaround in the fortunes of the national flag carrier that it remains a priority to sell? And who is responsible?

No doubt the resumption of the privatisation process will spark labour protests once again — a sub-plot centres round the PIA unions’ support (or lack of it) to the PML-N. Talk of privatisation is seen by labour leaders as an attempt to rein them in. But in truth, PIA’s troubles go far beyond the everyday operational issues or ordinary workers’ resentment at being taken for a ride. The big issues lie elsewhere.

The man in the PIA cockpit is Irfan Elahi, the chairman of the organisation. His tenure is marked by a number of murky deals and practices that have either seen the bypassing of PIA bylaws or decisions made to the outright detriment to the organisation. Some of Elahi’s choices have had larger consequences to the organisation, to the extent that the last PIACL board of directors meeting boiled over after a director questioned him about some deals struck.
Let’s suppose Elahi is exceeding his boundaries as chairman of the PIACL boards of directors, the question really is who can possibly stop him? The board, perhaps. And if they fail, the Aviation Secretary of the Cabinet Division Secretariat. Here’s the twist: how can someone summon themselves — Elahi is also the aviation secretary.

The conflict of interest is perhaps not his fault. But when life gives lemons, make lemonade and corrupt Punjabi are making money .

Although bureaucratic nonchalance comes with the territory, hiring and posting irregularities — an almost universally accepted baseline for nepotism — is the least of the allegations against Elahi. The big charges relate to the concentration of power, the operational opacity this omnipotence allows, as well as the siphoning of taxpayer money to companies abroad without receiving any services in return.

The allegations against Elahi also relate to certain power wielders (and their relatives) benefitting on account of the national flag carrier. They have to do with a plane that went missing in Pakistan, only to pop up in Germany. They also relate to the acting chief executive officer, a German, who has a criminal case against him in Pakistani courts but cannot return to the country to testify — allegedly at Elahi’s behest.

The following four stories have largely been extracted from official PIA paperwork and correspondence that were exchanged, copies of which are available with Eos. Each story points to instances of how damage was dealt to the interests of the national flag carrier. The common link is Irfan Elahi, the man in whom trust was reposed to steer PIA away from turbulence.

The case of the Pakistani aircraft that popped up in Germany

Central to all allegations about a plane that went missing and popped up in Germany is former Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bernd Hildenbrand.
To recap: an Airbus-310 (A-310) that was owned by PIA was first rented out to a film company by Procurement Director Air Commodore (retd) Imran Akhtar, brother of former director general of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Rizwan Akhtar. The plane was flown to Malta for the film company.
The A-310 was a “fly-worthy” aircraft. And yet, with it having been taken out of service for filming purposes, it never returned to the PIA fleet. Three departments — Marketing, Finance and Corporate Planning — were entirely bypassed by the procurement director. And the plane itself landed in Germany, in Leipzig, to be displayed at a museum.

Till recently, PIA had been claiming that the plane was never sold in the first place and it still had ownership of the plane. In truth, Akhtar removed Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Corporate Planning from the loop and made the transaction without any kind of approval from the board of directors. The plane had working auxiliary power units, avionics and landing gears, among other parts. The film company offered 245,000 Euros for the aircraft while the German museum charged 45,000 Euros in marketing fees for displaying the aircraft in their museum.

The issue was raised in a Senate sub-committee session. This was attented by Irfan Elahi, 13 senators including Muzzaffar Hussain Shah, Gen Qayyum, Farhatullah Babar, Mushahidullah, Sherry Rehman and others. Senator Saleem Mandviwalla took the dais with documents claiming that just the fuel cost incurred by the national flag carrier was far greater than the sum paid by the film company.
While Bernd Hildenbrand is accused of having flown the plane to Germany, the role of Air force officer and brother or ISI chief Imran Akhtar has escaped public scrutiny. He could only have used and abused the aircraft if he had the permission of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) to do so.

And ex Defence Officer  did: writing to the civil aviation, Akhtar asked for its de-registration from the aviation authority, even though that wasn’t his job to begin with. And to make matters more complicated, well-placed sources claim that influential quarters are now trying to have that letter expunged from the records so as to camouflage the act.

How did Air Commodore Imran Akhtar get away with it?

Because at the helm of the PCAA is a friend: Irfan Elahi, also the chairman of PIA and the aviation secretary.

As the clamour increased at home about where the A-310 had disappeared, an inquiry was set up to probe the matter. The inquiry report was finally penned by two officers, Legal Advisor Ahmed Rauf and Chief Internal Auditor Javed Mansha.

They held German Hildenbrand and Air Commodore  Akhtar brother or ISI chief  responsible for the fiasco, asking the latter why he initiated the loan and sale of the aircraft when he wasn’t authorised to do so in the first place. The probe report raised questions about why the three departments that should have been in the loop for the sale of the aircraft were bypassed. It also claimed that Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules had not been followed and due process was bulldozed.

In a statement issued by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla later on, the politician reiterated the claim that the A-310 had been sold without any award of a tender. “The market value of PIA’s A-310 was in millions of dollars but it was sold for just 5.3 million rupees,” he said.

Notwithstanding the inquiry, the fly-worthy aircraft had been sold for the price of scrap. But after its sale, a tender was finally issued in Pakistani newspapers while the plane was parked in Leipzig. No potential buyer in Pakistan could physically inspect the plane. The advertisement wasn’t printed in German newspapers and that precluded any potential buyers in Europe. The bottom-line, however, was that a tender was issued on an asset that PIA didn’t own at that point.

Such was the gravity of the case that the incumbent air chief, Sohail Aman, issued a statement declaring that if Air Commodore Imran Akhtar brother of Pakistan ISi  is indeed caught by the National Accountability Bureau or the Federal Investigation Agency, the air force would not stand by their man (who was in service at the time). A few days later, ISI chief Rizwan Akhtar resigned from service, because of Disgrace his family  caused to Pakistan and it's state and currently rumours are that he is now in Saudia serving the Saudi army .

PIA’s crash and fall: the case of administrative chaos

On December 21, 2016, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif announced a major reshuffle of the bureaucracy. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was without a chairman at the time, as the old one, Azam Saigol, had resigned after an aircraft, PK-661, travelling from Chitral to Islamabad crashed near Havelian. The incident claimed the lives of 47 passengers and crew members. PM Sharif handed PIA to Aviation Secretary Irfan Elahi, marking the latter’s second tenure as chairman of the national flag carrier.
The outgoing chairman had brought in a former professional of German airlines Lufthansa, Bernd Hildenbrand, first as a chief operating officer (COO) before elevating him to the position of acting chief executive officer (CEO). Both Saigol and Hildenbrand had seen an upturn in PIA fortunes — a product of making infrastructural upgrades and changing its branding. New planes were being leased, flights had achieved “90 percent” punctuality, and PIA passengers had increased by one million.

But of course Hildenbrand was not Elahi’s choice.

In fact Hildenbrand was interviewed and hired by former aviation advisor to the PM, Shujaat Azeem. Since the German was over 60 years of age, approval was sought from the PM to relax rules. Similarly, the requirement of a business degree was relaxed as Hildenbrand’s aviation diploma from Lufthansa was acceopted as a valid certification. However, the German later became embroiled in a number of corruption cases — the most prominent of which is the sale of an A-310 aircraft which is currently abandoned at the cargo port in Leipzig, Germany. In February this year, Hildenbrand was removed from his CEO post and demoted to COO once again.

In April this year, he was removed from PIA altogether. Hildenbrand left the country on May 4, 2017 after his name was put on the ECL and mysteriously removed following the German Embassy’s intervention. Interestingly, nothing written in black and white was given to Hildenbrand as an explanation or show-cause notice. The charge-sheet issued to him does not have the chairman’s signatures but that of then human resources director.

The incoming chairman, Elahi, now had to hire a new CEO and a new COO. A new chairman coming into an organisation floored by debt ought to have brought in competent professionals to help drag the airlines out of the doldrums. Not Elahi — he handpicked the CEO and COO, both of whom did not come from aviation backgrounds. Indeed among the eight candidates (out of 11) who met the criteria set for the CEO’s post were former managing directors of the PIA, Ijaz Haroon and Junaid Younus. And yet, Musharraf Rasool Cyan became the CEO while the COO chosen was Zia Qadir Qureshi as he was from PMLn.

A university teacher by profession and without any aviation experience, Cyan submitted documents with two different dates of birth: the date on his Matriculation certificate is March 12, 1967. The date of birth according to his CNIC is November 4, 1967. According to chapter 34 of the PIA Personnel Policies Manual, only a matriculation certificate or a valid birth certificate could be accepted at the time of hiring. Cyan then had to submit an affidavit declaring that the date of birth on the CNIC is correct. “This was only a one-time requirement,” claims PIA spokesperson Mashood Tajwar. “If the discrepancy is solved at the start, then there is no problem.”

Here’s the twist: more than 350 employees have already been dismissed on charges of discrepancies in their dates of birth as detailed on CNICs and educational documents. About 250 cases on the same issue are also pending with the PIA administration.

In the case of Qureshi, he assumed responsibilities in PIA on July 14, 2017 on a two-year contract. The problem was he would turn 60 on October 30, 2017 — three months after being hired. The rules dictate that the PM issue a formal approval for employment if an employee has to work beyond the age of 60 years.

But approval didn’t come easily; PIA had to write twice to the Aviation Division to have it approved from the PM. Terming it a non-issue, Tajwar “believes” this matter has been resolved and approval has been granted.

But both hirings set the tone of Elahi’s PIA. Hirings and firings came on ad-hoc basis, often without any justifications. In Passenger Sales, for example, General Manager Nausherwan Adil and Deputy General Manager Zubair Memon were removed from their positions without any accusation. Similarly Chief Human Resources Officer Raheel Ahmed as well as general managers Zafar Ali, Akbar Shah and Mehdi Chingezi were all removed from their positions without any charges formally being brought against them.

Well-placed sources claim that those removed from service did not see eye-to-eye with the chairman on many affairs, including double promotions awarded from PG-VIII to PG-X on a single day. In fact the former human resources director, Raheel Ahmed, is said to have been removed after the chairman found out that Cyan and Qureshi’s credentials had been leaked to the media. The chairman assumed Ahmed as the source of the leaks and removed him from service.

Meanwhile, on the PIA WhatsApp group — which is a means of communication between senior officers — there are rumblings of dissent and dismay at how the national carrier is being run. Some senior personnel have announced that they intend to leave the airline rather than being made scapegoats for the questionable decisions being taken by senior bureaucrats, who they feel will escape accountability.

The Scandal of the New York route

Without any warning came the proclamation that the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was shutting down its New York City operations. The argument made was that the expenses incurred by PIA on flying to New York did not make financial sense to the company anymore. Five weekly flights would fly to New York and three other American cities but PIA is now considering surrendering the route altogether. With a significant population of expatriates living in the United States, this decision predictably evoked great hue and cry.

On November 22, 2017, PIA Chairman Irfan Elahi appeared before the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs to make the claim that, last year, the airline incurred losses of 1.5 billion rupees from its New York operations. He argued that the airline had been saddled with such losses for the past 10-12 years.

When approached, PIA spokesman Mashood Tajwar explained that the route to New York involved a stopover in Manchester. This means that the cost to fly to New York also included airport and cargo handling charges incurred in Manchester. Negating the notion of surrendering the New York route, he termed it the suspension of New York operations.

Notwithstanding the operational details, if PIA’s official version is indeed considered, it begs the question: why can’t New York operation be merged with Toronto operations, given that PIA flies non-stop to Toronto.

The additional costs incurred in Manchester are a valid concern, even though the stopover in Manchester is primarily for security checks. Passengers cannot disembark at the airport while the number of new passengers from London to New York is also not significant.

Meanwhile, when costs are compared between the New York route and the Toronto route, there is great similarity in the finances expended. The fuel cost is almost the same as is the crew cost (cockpit crew and cabin crew). Costs for landing an aircraft, parking and housing it are the same, and the turnaround costs (time during which the aircraft must remain parked at the gate) are also the same. Some insiders question why one route is considered profitable while the other has been shut down.
Notwithstanding the operational details, if PIA’s official version is indeed considered, it begs the question: why can’t New York operation be merged with Toronto operations, given that PIA flies non-stop to Toronto. Official word is that Toronto itself is a profit-making route and therefore cannot be saddled with the burden of passengers heading to New York.

Indeed New York is a hub that connects various flights with different destinations, some not even in the United States. Routes are not just obtained for a substantial sum of money; their approval is contingent on factors such as power connections and diplomatic relations. And once surrendered, they cannot be re-obtained within a matter of days or months.

In the case of New York, a route surrendered means that flight operations have been given up for good since there are a limited number of slots available. Etihad Airways, for example, is a recent phenomenon. And when they applied to the John F Kennedy Airport for a slot, they were turned down simply because the Americans had no space to accommodate another airline.

But PIA can also surrender the route in favour of another airline. Word from the inside is that this route is being surrendered to Etihad Airways, although Tajwar denies such an eventuality.
“We are locked in discussions with the Americans to provide us permission to fly directly to New York,” he says. “We aren’t surrendering the route to any Middle Eastern airlines.”

Scandal of spending billions on useless ventures that made PIA by Making more Losses for PIA

The hallmark of Bernd Hildenbrand’s tenure as the chief executive officer of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was to induct new planes into the national flag carrier’s fleet as he went about modernising infrastructure in the airlines.

One of the services started by Hildenbrand was the Premier Service — a deluxe way to travel to London with three aircrafts acquired on a wet-lease from Sri Lankan Airlines. Six flights were scheduled for London every week, three each from Islamabad and Lahore. Unlike the regular service, the Premier aircraft was equipped with LCD screens and an expensive in-flight entertainment system with 250 channels. Business-class passengers could sleep on flat beds to make their journey more comfortable. The service was inaugurated by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on August 14, 2016.

Although 3.9 billion rupees were spent on launching the service, even its experimental stage was not well thought-out. For example, the airfare for the premium service was not increased while there was just one aircraft doing the rounds and no other backup aircraft was readied. Instead a substantial cost was incurred on specialised crew, new crew uniforms, as well as new logo and branding.

The Premier Service bagged 1.8 billion rupees in revenue between August 14, 2016 and December 31, 2016, according to statistics revealed by the Aviation Division at the time. The losses incurred in the same period were 2.1 billion rupees.

But perhaps the bigger scam was in Limisione service provided for free

The new service offered a complimentary limousine for business-class passengers, anywhere within a radius of 25 km from the London Heathrow. The usual cost for such a distance is 45 pounds but PIA were paying 95 pounds for each business class passenger.

There were 25 business class seats in the PIA Premier aircraft. And so the amount paid to the limousine vendor for one trip to London was 2,375 pounds. With six flights in a week, the weekly payment to the vendor was 9,500 pounds and the monthly amounts to 38,000 pounds or 5,282,000 rupees.

Here’s the twist: the limousine vendor was the third brother of former ISI chief Rizwan Akhtar and PIA Procurement Director Imran Akhtar.

Another case of dubious intent is that of a Boeing 777 aircraft which was acquired to fly on international routes. When inducted into the fleet, the 777 plane’s original seats needed to be removed and new ones installed, as per PIA’s seats requirements. Elahi’s PIA engaged with a foreign company for the job, deeming it undoable in Pakistan. This raised many eyebrows but according to PIA spokesman Mashood Tajwar, the dispute is over the number of planes being re-hauled by the company.

Well-placed sources claim that payment of a couple of billion rupees was made in advance — against the rules and without a bank guarantee — for the job that was yet to be carried out. The job never got done, claim insiders, also alleging that a substantial amount returned to Pakistan in kickbacks.

PIA ERP SYSTEM IS IS SABOTAGED BY MANAGERS

Conspiracy of Not implementing ERP system

PIA recently started the ERP system and almost 1 Billon rupees were spent on this system that is not even Being fully implemented by PIA and its implementation in Punjab Lahore and Islamabad and Karachi Station is being resisted as manager of PIA are involved in corruption and still using the paper based and incomplete record for current day to day activities .
PIA was running in loss still this system was bought and installed and then to leave it incomplete is a big conspiracy and it should be completed as soon as possible and it should be made as main system of work to minimise the corruption that is un checked , the paper based record system should be stoped at once.

Wasting Billions every year on paper records

Following ERP and Computer System PIA Has and not being used fully

1.  Oracle Based Recently  Bought for 1 Billion Rupees
2. SAP
3. SABRE
4. Legacy  ERP
5. Computer  systems based on Windows

It is ironic that even when PIA has so many multiple ERP and Computer systems like the current one for the employees , then SAP was also bought many years ago and , then one for booking flights are all ERP systems , which are means of paper less environment and yet PIA is still using out dated paper and register systems that is both laughable and not  recommendable.

Just to Use Paper based System hundred and thousands of extra employees are employed as daily wagers Full time as peons Chaprassi Naib Qasids and also Clerks , they are extra burden on PIA . Current System is Inefcient and Expensive based on Paper there salaries and also there medical bills and also facilities.

Because of Political and Appointees of GHQ , PIA is filled with Incompetent Manager that are good for Nothing a, these Manager get Salaries in Million per Month for Nothing but making PIA in Loss .

These Incompetent Managers and also so Much Extra staff can be easily removed with just using the computer based systems and also making the paper based system redundant .  For safety purposes a back up and other records can be made and saved in two or three places minimise the danger of wastage or loss of records .

PIA interdepartment email system

Most of PIA managers are not English literature and have been appointed on basis of  being members of political parties or relatives of Generals of Pakistan Army ,and because of them the golden rule of merit and competence has been comprised .

These manager are appointed because of loyality with political party bosses like right wing parties that are blue eyed of Punjabi establishment and are not punished by courts run by Punjabi judges ,and these political parties like PML,  PTI , MQM and Religious ones like mullah and military Alliances , who are always allowed to do corruption by Punjabis establishment as they want to use these political parties for thier geo strategy and useless policies made by a few Punjabi Punjabi generals who have made a mess of Pakistan .

These managers are not using the email and use the paper based records and for those record , a lot of use less people are appointed who are peons and naib Qasids and class 4 employees who are paid for no reason at all when email is a system that can transfer information efficiently from one place to another without the use of so many use less human resources and it is not the email only , but the ERP system that can do the daily functions but it is not used at all .

The incompetence of managers and also lack of use of email has resulted in wastages of billions of rupees .

Human resource functions

Human resources function includes , the following
1. Pay and
2. Allowances
3. Leave and sick leave management
4. Courses and training management
5. Employee records
6. Medical records
7. Promotion and courier management .
8. Tickets and entitlement

All this information is managed by the manager of human resources as well as the General management and email and ERP ,computer software can handle this very efficiently and also can save billions of rupees in paper and records that is expensive and also save time as computer system is efficient and also save time.

PIA is maintaining a top heavy management that , is doing all these simple functions with old 50 year old system of paper based system , that is obsolete  that requires , more human resources and more paper and more building space and more money , and require  more  managers who are more then the number of Aeroplanes and requirements .

The ERP system PIA has :

1. ORACLE Based current system recently spent a Billion rupees on it
2. SAP system bought a decade before and not being used
3. Legacy record system of computer based software's

These systems have been Hijacked and conspiracy to stop implementing them , exists in the corrupt manager and generals managers of PIA .

Finance Functions

The finance Functions are also  managed via useless paper based system and even for small errands so many forms and vouchers are  being used   that can be easily done via a computer based system .
The allowances and other employee benefit system  are still issued  manually , because of this old and in efficient system the analysis of expenses and also record of daily expenses and watages is not possible with paper based system and to do that use of computer systems is mandatory .

Temporary daily wagers all the functions are done without the computer systems and via , the registers and without voucher and paper records .

It is so dumb and so stupid thay all the pay role and issue of salaries should be done via , computer based system and bank accounts and  Not via registers and thumb stamps or signatures .
It is ironic that crew are paid dollars and this dollar record is not put inside of pay role and this should be done via a salary slip and this is not done so much is inefficiency and stupidity of dumb managers of PIA .

Because of this stupid management , the many Ghost employees exist . If the computer based system is used this corruption and also fake records can be curtailed .

Daily information system to employees

Daily information and reports and letters to employees is also done via paper and notice board method and millions could be saved it a web site and mobile phone based internet and computer system is used to transfer information and this is not Being done and overlooked in PIA

Operation systems

Operations could be done via a computer tablet and internet method and while PIA .The crew still takes heavy manuals and other informations over the books That weighs 10 kilos each and also when in an aircraft , 10 to 15 crew are traveling the accumulated wieght of manuals is about 100 to 150 KG , laughingly and airlines have moved away from this Paper based books system and moved to Computer tablets and Small Mobile computers other informations system that display the information in an aircraft and no need of heavy manuals .

PIA crew information system is always off line and not working in most days , and case of Schedules / Rosters  is that , so dumb and funny that it comes empty and without any flights, being Detailed in it and then the Briefing in charges  have to fill it manually . What is use of computer systems and whole IT department when one has to do it manually .  The Salaries of IT department and that of Schedulers is all going to waste.

why so much duplication are done when there is computer system who have so many people Employed to do it Manually , are being Detailed to do something that can be done Automatically and on computer based system .

So Dump and Duffer is PIA Management that it does not have record of total hours of Flying hours the crew Does and about 30% of PIA crew are sitting in Homes and taking salaries and the finance department and HR Department is issuing them Salaries without checking if these people are coming to office or not . This Anomalies is in the other Employees as well

The same ERP can be used to update all the operations system on line .No training has been provided PIA staff and No Interest is Taken by Manager to implement it .

A lot of bugs existed and luke warm attitude existed toward that system and its implementation , the catering , and also food , transport and also the PIA flight operation requirements like spare part and other departments should be in ERP immediately and also available via a software on mobile and applications of Android or I phone should be used so that one can run these operation form the field and office and where ever there is requirements.

This way the use less staff That are required like lower grader peons , clerks and also ones that use the paper is entirely eliminate and direct link between the managers and worker and crew and engineers is established and it is.Not that difficult at all .

SAP bought by PIA already has That capability and a tailor made Airline system is already available and made by SAP ,.that can be used

PIA ticketing System

PIA ticketing is also a Disistaer and most of the computer system is sabotaged by the corrupt and greedy manager who are selling these facilities to comparative airlines and also destroying PIA ,
Not a single Airline give you ticket for free and without paying and then holding it for days and days and that right up to the last day , PIA is the only airline Th at holds the ticket and booking  is not lapsed within few minutes or 1 or 2 hours as Done on Air blue or Shaheen Airlines .

This is done only to make PIA in loss , genuine passenger who when log into PIA wanting to buy the ticket are shown full loads , while in actuality the whole flight is almost empty and without any passengers, because of the same trick the corrupt management plays .

The E ticket That is buying the ticket from credit card at home is not always functioning. And also E ticket which is sending the ticket via email and then showing it on mobile phone and scanner as available in Private Airline isn't bro.d implemented in PIA that can provide tickets to people easily .
The system of travel agents and giving them , reserved tickets should be finished and instead they should be given log in access to PIA web and they should book via that and only be given no time to wait /book the seat but buy directly and via the credit card and login of web , and when paid then they can be given their share of marketing charges of profit .

Without the payment via credit card or a prepaid PIA business  card with facility to top up facility to travel agent should be provided to privilege them with , profit should be thought of and implemented .

PIA web sites system

The PIA , web site is changed all the and most of times does not show the updated informations about flights as it is not properly being manager and most of time the IT department does not update the informations .

The PIA , should provide , even informations about those flights That are sometimes extra sections and operated and yet still not show in PIA web site .

Implementing a these suggestion can make PiA a better and efficient organisations and save billions this way and make it profitable
.
